Why I built Revertii
Hey, I'm the developer of Revertii. Last month, I looked at my bank statement and noticed a $60 charge for a designer tool I hadn't opened since last winter. I was completely annoyed.
I went to the app store to find a subscription tracker. Every single one of them forced me to link my bank logins, handed my data to third-party brokers, or immediately started pushing ads. I didn't want my financial data sold. I just wanted a simple list.
So I spent a weekend prototyping Revertii. The app is now ready for you to sync your subscriptions securely across every device — without ever touching your bank logins or selling a byte of your data to anyone. At launch, your subscription data will be stored securely in our cloud database (encrypted at rest) using Supabase. We won't ask for your bank logins, and we will never sell, share, or monetize your financial history. You'll be able to sign in securely using email/password or Google OAuth, with only essential session cookies used for authentication.
We will offer a 'Pro' upgrade. The free tier will let you track up to 5 subscriptions, which is plenty for most casual users. If you want to track unlimited items, view advanced analytics, and get renewal alert notifications, you will be able to upgrade to the Pro tier at launch to support the developer.
It stands for Progressive Web App. It's just a fancy word for a website that you can install on your phone, tablet, or desktop. When the app launches, you can click 'Install' in your browser to add it to your home screen or desktop. It runs in its own clean window without the browser bar and launches instantly, requiring an internet connection to sync your data.
Absolutely! Once the app is live, you'll be able to export your subscriptions as a JSON file at any time. You can also delete your account and all associated subscription data permanently from your settings page. You will be in complete control of your data.
